~ une minute avec la lune ~
Hello. Me again
first, let me apologize
for getting it wrong
keeper of secrets
you knew all my desires
and yet, you were tied
I asked the wrong things
you could send my love to him
but not bring his back
I understand now
I can’t will specific love
I can’t wish for his
but I can, and do,
wish him love and happiness
his own, to explore
and for me, dear moon
your presence my one constant
your lesson, received
it’s a new chapter
of my secret diary
I seek only truth.

I love it - feels like that moment when the pieces fall into good spots.
ReplyDeleteI think it's that moment when you realize the pieces are going to fall where they will, and accepting that.
Deletesometimes accepting is the feel good spot - the spot that allows you to quit spinning your wheels and move ahead
DeleteThis is the feel good poem of the month, for me. Seaming effortless.
ReplyDeleteI really, really, really love this.
And I really, really, really love you :) <3
DeleteBeyond awesome!! Wow, love the rhythm and the reasoning in this one!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt took a long time for that reasoning to sink in. Thanks, C :)
DeleteBeautiful! I think there is a point when we seek fantasy. With wisdom we want to see what is true. You said it so well.. -Dave Raider
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad we can't have both.
Deletewow I love this! This is so familiar!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jessica :)
DeleteMan, this sounds too real to how a person feels about another. Great job!
ReplyDeleteToo real, indeed. Thanks, Gerard.
DeleteOh, duh! Now it lets me post! -Marvin :)
ReplyDeletelol! Go figure ;)
DeleteBeautiful, my friend! So you tell secrets to the moon as well? I love that about you. (So do I.... ) (((HUGGS)))) xoxo
ReplyDeleteAh, yes. The moon is my confidant. And I'm not surprised you do as well. I think all poets and dreamers tell secrets to the moon. Love you tons!
DeleteSo very beautiful. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Barbara (((hugs)))
DeleteImpressive! All done in haikus. <3
ReplyDeleteIrene
Thanks, dollface. I typically don't write haikus, but the prompts led me there ;)
DeleteThis was fun and smart. I enjoyed it very much,
ReplyDelete*Smiles* Thank you :)
DeleteAhhhhhh...our conversations with the moon... I feel strength and resolution in this... Love your heart, writing and you my dear. Beautiful. DeAnna
ReplyDeleteI will never grow tired of writing about the moon. Love you and your friendship so much <3
DeleteDo you ever think the moon is patronizing when it comes to affairs of the heart. I tend to think it smiles when we smile and cries when we cry. Beautifully and wonderfully described feelings of the heart. I felt every word, and enjoyed the music video too. <3 Leta
ReplyDeleteSometimes I do, but I also think sometimes I put too much hope into the moon. Still, I can't help but think she knows all ;) Thanks, dollface. Love you <3
DeleteVery nicely written! :)
ReplyDeleteDJ
